Two GILVEM formats
Organisation through the agency — You contact GILVEM. The agency’s service scope and obligations are defined in a separate agreement with the agency.
Independent selection — You find an independent provider in the catalogue and contract directly with that provider.
The role of the catalogue
The GILVEM catalogue enables users to list offers, find specialists and establish contact with other users.
When selecting a provider independently, the service agreement is concluded directly between the client and the provider. They independently agree the service scope, price, payment arrangements, cancellation and refunds.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate contract, the catalogue operator is not a party to that transaction and does not guarantee that its participants will fulfil their obligations.
A profile listing does not mean that its owner is a GILVEM employee or that the operator has confirmed all published information. The operator’s responsibility for its own actions and obligations is determined by applicable law.
Provider confirmations
The provider confirms:
The accuracy of their identity, authority and service descriptions.
The truthfulness of statements about experience and qualifications.
Their actual participation in the work shown in their portfolio.
The necessary rights to photographs, texts and other materials.
The lawfulness of the offer and the permissions required for the relevant activity.
Client responsibilities
The client confirms:
A good-faith purpose for making contact.
No use of contacts for spam, fraud, threats, harassment or unlawful disclosure of data.
Independent agreement of the contract and payment terms with the selected provider.
Before contacting or paying
You are contacting an independent provider. Before paying, clarify their details, the service scope, price, cancellation and refund terms. We recommend recording your agreement in writing and checking the payment recipient’s details. A catalogue listing alone does not guarantee good faith or service quality.
The risk warning does not waive lawful rights. Each party is responsible for its own violations under the law. Catalogue terms do not release the agency from obligations for events it organises itself.
Public profiles
You are creating a public profile. Once it is published, your name or team name, service description, photographs, working locations and the contacts you select will be accessible to internet visitors. Third parties may view, copy and save them; search engines may index the pages.
Do not publish information you wish to keep confidential. Public availability does not permit third parties to use data or materials unlawfully.
Contacts and non-public information
The preview shows the intended public profile. Passwords, administrative information and the sign-in email are not published. Phone numbers and contact email addresses are displayed only after the owner expressly chooses them. A client’s information does not become public if they do not create a public profile.
Editing, hiding and withdrawal
You can edit public information, hide your profile and withdraw publication consent. Third-party copies, saved materials and search engine caches may remain after a profile is hidden or removed. This does not permit unlawful use or remove the operator’s own duties.
Materials and separate advertising
Owners retain rights to their own materials. Permission to display selected materials in a profile does not authorise advertising or mailing lists. Advertising permission is optional, separate, unchecked by default and separately withdrawable. Declining it does not prevent use of the catalogue’s core functions.
Each party’s own responsibility
The provider, client and operator are responsible for their own actions and obligations under applicable law. These terms do not automatically require a user to cover every platform loss, remove the right to seek judicial remedies or exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Catalogue terms apply only where the actual service follows the independent-selection model.
Reports and decisions
Reports must be assessed even if a user previously acknowledged a risk warning. A report alone does not establish a violation. The assessment, restriction, notification and appeal process is described in Reports & appeals.
Venues, transport and regattas
These rules cover specialists, teams, venues, equipment and transport providers, and regatta organisers. A quotation or availability enquiry does not confirm a booking. Demonstration records belong to a separate test mode and are not offers from real providers. Agency service illustrations are not presented as a specialist’s portfolio.
Accounts and saving information
Sign-in is provided through ChatGPT. GILVEM receives the account identifier, email and available display name; it does not request or store the ChatGPT password. Changes confirmed by the server are saved in the system and can be accessed after signing in on another device. A preview, unfinished upload or error does not confirm saving, publication or submission. Access to ChatGPT is recovered through the sign-in provider.
